About Guideline International and its founder

Guideline International guides companies through people and organisational changes to address current market realities, and to accomplish the planned strategic objectives, with measurable results.

Guideline International was founded by Alexander Teixeira de Mattos, who, over the years spent dealing with multinationals, has developed a unique method of guiding companies aligning their people to their overall strategy and the achievement of their organisational goals.

After serving in the Dutch Royal Parachute Commandos, and studying Astronomy and Computer Technology at the University of Leiden in The Netherlands, Alexander started his business life in the southern African tourism industry. He was then asked to join the European Performance Institute, a management consultancy active in over 22 countries worldwide, and used his business insight, as well as his analytical mind and his complete fluency in English, French and Dutch, to assist multinational companies in streamlining their processes and systems. As project manager, Alexander was charged with leading changes in those companies aimed at increasing the economic value added, reducing operational costs and improving profitability.

He led successful projects with companies in Belgium, Switzerland, the United States, France, The Netherlands, Germany and the UK. Later, after spending three years focusing almost exclusively on the people development, with Dale Carnegie and Associates, he started combining his experiences by taking on operational interim positions with various companies.

At the same time, eager to share his experience with leaders facing challenges similar to those he encountered, Alexander established Guideline International.

Working with a network of senior professionals in various fields of expertise, Guideline International today successfully guides companies in their efforts to reach their planned strategic objectives, with measurable results.
